Re: childe
But just because you have a special weapon doesn’t mean I’m going to go easy on you, comrade. [ twirls his blades before his entire demeanor changed into something more serious. ]
Re: childe
Aether smiles at the comment about not planning to go easy on him, and he feels a spark of excitement at seeing the complete change in Childe. It's almost... familiar, somehow, and his heart tells him he's really missed this. Or something like this, at least: a challenge? ]
Good, because I wouldn't have bothered if I thought you were to do that. That's not fun.
[ ok, he's ready and his stance shows it. He's not quite sure how he knows this, but he does. Which gives him a confidence of sorts even if he hasn't yet realized what he is capable of—as much as he's unaware of his partner's capabilities, even.
It's time find out at least a little about both. ]
Re: childe
[ as soon as aether readies into a position of his own childe dashes forward and slashes both of his blades at him in an 'x', trying to not only hit him hard, but also drive him back. ]
Re: childe
He doesn't try to clash with the other's weapons, choosing to sidestep and pivot, using his sword to deflect steel in case may have miscalculated his dodge on. Their blades shouldn't touch if he's successful though, and he'll shift his arm to swing the sword out horizontally from its original guard position to attempt and graze Childe's side with it, all the while careful not to leave his own side, closest to the other's front, wide open to an opportunity of being gutted in the process. ]
Re: childe
Re: childe
The momentary thought leaves him no choice but to bring his sword up horizontally and use both hands to hold it and clash with Childe's own as he comes down. As soon as he gets the chance to get out of the gridlock, he's backing off. ]
Re: childe
Re: childe
It's best to get Childe moving as Aether can't tell very well when he stands around what his next even possible move is, and he's just a little too fast to let him have that sort of advantage. ]
Re: childe
Re: childe
If he does, he'll pivot sharply to make a tight turn, deciding that being the aggressor indiscriminately is not going to have him win against the other. Time for new strategy. Defend. Defend a lot unit he can get a sense of Childe's style. It's familiar, Aether thinks, but only subconsciously and he can't rely on that.
So he needs to provoke his opponent.
If he doesn't manage to get up before childe gets too close, well he's still on the ground, then. ]
